In the age of confidentiality contracts, extracting information out of actors is like extracting diamond from coal mines. So, when an actor chooses to spill the beans, it does take you by surprise.
Arshad Warsi has always shared a cordial relationship with the media, but one doesn't recollect him leaking out information to the press. It was a rare occasion when Warsi told journalists that either Alia Bhatt or Deepika Padukone is likely to feature in the fourth instalment of the Golmaal franchise.
“Yes, it’s true. Either of the two will be playing the lead in Golmaal 4. I have heard the discussions and it’s almost certain that it will be Alia or Deepika this time," Warsi said during a media interaction.
Either of the two will be cast as romantic lead opposite Ajay Devgn. While director of the film Rohit Shetty has worked with Deepika perviously in Chennai Express, he hasn't directed Alia yet.
“We start sometime in December. It’s always fun to be back working with this crazy team. Ajay, Tusshar, Shreyas and I — we are all excited. But we will miss Bebo this time,” added Warsi.
Kareena Kapoor Khan won’t be part of the film purely because she is expecting her first child in December, 2016.
Deepika or Alia, Arshad surely wouldn’t mind having both of them. After all, he has never worked with either of the two actress.
The shoot for Golmaal 4 is slated to begin by the year end.
