Everybody was shocked after reading reports of Nargis Fakhri quitting the Hindi film industry. Rumours were doing the rounds that her break-up with rumoured boyfriend Uday Chopra was the reason for her decision.
A few months back, it was feared that Fakhri had suffered a nervous breakdown and headed to the US, never to return. The actress had abandoned the promotions of her film Housefull 3 and gone off to New York to spend time with her mother.
However, Fakhri has dispelled all such notions and disclosed that she has no plan to quit and will return soon to India for the promotions of her next film, Banjo. Fakhri tweeted the following.
Lookin forward 2finishing my assignment in daUS &being back 2start promoting #Banjo in a few weeks!#noplanstoquit #allelsearebaselessrumours

Stating that she had some unfinished assignment in the United States, Fakhri vowed to return soon.
The Rockstar (2011) actress had long been linked romantically with Chopra, but the couple never commented on the relationship. The DNA newspaper had reported that Fakhri was keen to settle down, but Chopra had had a change of heart. Yash Chopra's son had scoffed at these reports and claimed that Fakhri would remain a dear friend.
Banjo stars Riteish Deshmukh and Fakhri. The film is slated to release on 23 September 2016.
