A few months back, it was reported that Kangana Ranaut had walked out of an international project, Divine Lovers, as she felt her role wasn't meaty enough as compared to that of her co-star, Irrfan Khan.

"She said she is eager to do films where she is the solo lead. If I have a script where that is the case, I will surely take it to her. Unfortunately, Divine Lovers isn't," Divine Lovers director Sai Kabir told Huffington Post.

Rumour had it that Khan didn't take too kindly to Ranaut not wanting to play second fiddle to him. However, all rumours of the rift have been put to rest as Khan has agreed to star alongside Ranaut in The Lunchbox director Ritesh Batra's next.

As per reports, Ranaut liked the script and instantly signed for the film. Buzz has it that the plot revolves around a couple whose life gets affected by a real-life incident that had occurred a few years ago. The film is likely to be an international production with the shoot slated to begin next year.

Khan had worked with Batra in the internationally acclaimed The Lunchbox (2013).
