Parineeti Chopra was recently unhappy with a leading daily for allegedly quoting her out of context in the headline of an interview. In the headline, she was quoted saying, “Alia is doing the films I did at the beginning of my career.”
Parineeti was highly concerned as she felt some misunderstanding might crop up between her and Alia. So, she immediately codemned the daily on Twitter while clarifying her stand to Alia. She said, “Eeeks HT, that headline sounds so wrong/rude!! @aliaa08 I love you, guys please read the whole thing! :) Facepalm.”
In any case, the two actresses are constantly pitted against each other.
Fortunately for Parineeti, Alia not only sympathised with her but also showered her with words of appreciation. She replied with, “Truth be told you inspired me jaaneman!!! so I'm glad you did those films big hug!!come rehearse with me now!”
Parineeti and Alia have been rehearsing for their forthcoming Dream Team US tour, alongside Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra.
In the interview in question, Parineeti has stated the contrasting careers of hers and Alia’s. She said, “She did those films (Highway and Udta Punjab), but I did them right at the start of my career. I did Ishaqzaade (2012) and won the National Award for that. The kind of films she started with... things like Student of the Year (2012) or Kapoor and Sons, are the kind of films I’m doing now.”
Parineeti will next be seen in Yash Raj Films’ Meri Pyari Bindu opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.
