Top Hindi film stars and big production houses have once again come under the tax radar. Notices have been sent to production houses and famous actors seeking explanation in matters related to money.
According to latest reports, the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) have today sent notices to big production houses seeking an explanation for the amounts paid to big stars like Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh.
At the same time, the actors have reportedly been asked by the service tax arm of CBEC to disclose details of payments received from production houses like Yash Raj Films and Salman Khan Films.
Just a couple of days ago, the Income Tax department had sent a notice to actor Shah Rukh Khan asking him to disclose his off-shore investments.
