After ‘Tu Hai’ and the title track, the makers of Mohenjo Daro have released the next song from the movie called ‘Sarsariya’. It is a carefree number featuring the film’s lead pair, Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde.
The song has been sung by Sashaa Tirupati and Shashwat Singh. As the song is mostly sung by the female lead, Sashaa has the maximum audio time and has rendered the number in a soothing manner, with Singh lending decent support. As expected from a maestro like AR Rahman, the music strikes a chord, though the composer is nowhere near his best in this album.
The most striking feature of the song is its lyrics. The initial portion is sung in a language suggestive of the ancient era of Mohenjo Daro. But later on, the singers switch to Hindi.
Of all the trailers and songs released so far, this is the first time that Hegde has impressed. Not only does she look beautiful, she also comes across as fun-loving, which goes with the theme of the song.
Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by UTV Motion Pictures and AGPPL, Mohenjo Daro is set to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom on 12 August 2016.
