The actor was spotted with Deepika Padukone at Madaari screening sporting a new beard, leading to speculation that Singh may have given his nod tor Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next.

It’s no secret that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is keen to repeat his Bajirao Mastani leads, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, for his next, a period film based on the myth of Rani Padmavati.
While Deepika Padukone is said to have sealed the deal, there is no official word on whether Ranveer Singh will follow suit. The actor did meet the director last week, upon his return from Paris, where he wound up the shoot of Befikre. But there has been no word except that the director discussed the project with Singh, and that the latter is yet to sign the project.
The official confirmation will happen only when we hear it from the horse’s mouth. Neither Bhansali nor Singh have spoken a word since. However, if one is good at face reading then perhaps, Singh might have signed on the dotted line.
The actor was spotted last evening with Deepika Padukone at the special screening of Irrfan Khan’s Madaari. Ranveer was seen sporting a new beard, abandoning the clean-shaven look of Befikre.
Well, what’s new in it, right? Seldom do we see Ranveer clean shaven in any case. However, if you look at the portrait of 12th century ruler Alauddin Khilji, you will find a striking similarity with the style that Ranveer is currently sporting.
If you turn back to history, while promoting Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), Singh had got into his Bajirao look. Sure there was no rocket science needed then. Singh’s new beard and the resemblance to that of Khilji could indicate that the actor has signed his third film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Yet, we’ll wait for an official confirmation from Singh and Bhansali themselves.
