Hrithik Roshan's moves, belly dancers groove in Rahman's Mohenjo Daro title track

Hrithik Roshan is in fine form in this catchy tappy number by AR Rahman, and belly dancers make an appearance to accompany Pooja Hegde.

Ashutosh Gowariker is pulling no punches in promoting his next Hrithik Roshan starrer, Mohenjo Daro. The film's new title track released today and has all the high points of a euphoric title concerto by AR Rahman.

The song features Hrithik Roshan's Sarman putting on a dance performance for the ruler of Mohenjo Daro, Kabir Bedi. The song is written by Javed Akhtar and voiced by Arijit Singh. A fast paced number, the song carries the signature rhythmic style of AR Rahman. The percussion (drums) match Hrithik's fine tuned dance steps to perfection. It certainly offers the perfect stage for a tanned Hrithik to showcase his dance.

The only anachronism in the song is the presence of a troupe of belly dancers to accompany Chaani, Pooja Hegde's (who looks a little stiff when doing even the simple dance moves) character, in the song. They seem out of place, and might be another thing to pick on for viewers looking for historical flaws in the film. The trailer and Chaani's look were panned by social media users for its modern appearance that looked out of place in the era that Mohenjo Daro's story is set in.

Mohenjo Daro is set to release on 12 August.
