Rakesh Roshan denies discussing Raees v/s Kaabil clash with Shah Rukh

Filmmakers says rendezvous with SRK was nothing but old friends meeting after a long time.

Those who've been around in the industry for long would know that Rakesh Roshan is not that media savvy and only surfaces when his film are close to release. Right now, Roshan finds himself in an unusual predicament as his film Kaabil is slated to lock horns with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees on Republic Day next year.

We reported yesterday how Khan and his co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani had met Roshan at his residence on Monday night, presumably to hold talks to avert a box-office clash. Raees is a co-production between SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment.

No official word came from Khan or Excel entertainment save for this philosophical tweet by SRK.

Roshan too cheekily told a portal that Shah Rukh and he did not discuss anything about the Raees v/s Kaabil clash. “We didn’t discuss the shifting of the release date. Shah Rukh called and said that we haven’t met for a long time so they came over.” Roshan told Bollywood Life.

Roshan merely termed the rendezvouz as a meeting of old friends after a long time. While Khan is an old friend but Sidhwani surely didn’t gate crash at the Roshan residence. Well, it remains to be seen who blinks first? Or will anybody really blink?

Khan has worked with Roshan in films like Koyla (1997) , Karan Arjun (1995) and King Uncle (1993).
