Aamir Khan has always been a trendsetter. In 1998, Aamir Khan turned a new leaf in his career by crooning the chart buster Aati Kya Khandala in the film Ghulam. This led to Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt, following suit but not that convincingly.
18 years later Aamir will get behind the mic once again, and this time he’s said to be experimenting with rap. Music director Pritam has composed a special track for Dangal; one that will see Khan rapping to the beats. This new track is said to be a last minute addition to the Dangal soundtrack. It has been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The perfectionist that he is, Khan is said to have already begun preparing for this task. The actor has holding regular sessions with Pritam and Bhattarcharya. We contacted Amitabh Bhattacharya who confirmed the development, but refused to divulge any more details about track. But we do expect it to be a desi number.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is a biopic on former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. The film will tell the tale of Phogat and his four daughter, who, aspire to follow in their wrester father’s footsteps. Dangal will release on 23 December, 2016.
