Deepika Padukone makes fleeting appearance in xXx: Return Of Xander Cage trailer

Indian movie fans have been waiting for the trailer of xXx: Return of Xander Cage, and its mainly because it marks Deepika Padukone's Hollywood debut, apart from the fact that it's Vin Diesel's return to the action franchise.  

The first trailer of the xXx: Return of Xander Cage is now out and its Vin Diesel's show all the way. He's skiing in the jungle, riding a motor cycle on water, and jumping on cars with roller skates on. Yes, it's yet another movie about saving the world led by some high octane over the top action sequences. It may make for entertaining mainstream Hollywood fare. 

In the middle of Diesel's shenanigans, his squad - Donnie Yen, Deepika Padukone, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev - makes an appearance, showing off their action chops.

All the Hindi cinema fans who are used to seeing Deepika take centre stage in movie trailers may be disappointed as this first trailer has only three brief shots of the actress. What we could make out from the fleeting appearance though is that Deepika is in excellent shape and is set to kick butt in the action sequences. 

xXx is obviously a Vin Diesel vehicle as it marks his return to the action franchise, and it rides completely on his shoulders. So the rest of the actors are bound to play supporting cast. But we do wish Deepika's first Hollywood trailer appearance had more meat to it.  

Yet, this is just the first trailer, and here's hoping that there's more of Deepika in the next one.
