Ranveer Singh tweeted an image from an advertising campaign with Alia Bhatt, and it got us thinking why they have not been brought together on the big screen yet.

Back when they started working together on the commercial for a travel service, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh were on their way to stardom. The campaign saw both actors embrace some wacky roles as taxi drivers and sidey tourists. The campaign has now returned and true to his desi romeo style, Ranveer posted some hilarious pictures of him proposing to the beautiful Alia with a flower. This makes us wonder why no director has chosen to sign these two up for a film together, especially a romantic comedy. Here are 4 reasons why they ought to be cast opposite each other asap.
1. They are cute together
Don't go by what we say. Take a look at these pictures of the actors together. They share a taste for the wacky and have got that sense for kitsch down to a pat.

2. They have a sense of humour
In an age when stars take their PR and public image seriously, these are two of the coolest cats out there. Ranveer Singh has already attracted quite the following for his 'bindaas' attitude, and a crazy and fun persona, while Alia is quite refreshingly candid in her own right, always willing to laugh at herself. They both have a sense of humour. Imagine what a riot they would be doing comedy! Take a look at these ads they have done together. They are a hoot.
3. They are a hit pair
Ranveer has been riding quite a wave in the recent years. The actor has come a long way from his Band Baaja Baraat days. His performances in Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani have established him as a star of the next generation. Alia too has ventured away from her pretty girl image stereotype to deliver stellar performances in Highway, Udta Punjab, and Kapoor & Sons. The two of them together could be a classic box office draw.
4. They got chemistry
No. Deepika Padukone need not get worried, but the two certainly have a spark. Their mischeivous antics, combined with the hyper energy of Ranveer does make for an interesting watch. A comedy rom com with the two together would certainly breathe some life into a dull movie year. Bread pakode ki kasam!
