Tiger Shroff is still a novice in new A Flying Jatt trailer: Watch

The makers of A Flying Jatt released the first trailer for the film today.

The latest trailer for Tiger Shroff's new superhero movie, A Flying Jatt, promises some quirky doses of fun. The film, directed by Remo D'Souza, is about a Punjabi boy acquiring some serious superpowers to battle evil. The teaser for the film was received quite well, although it generated natural comparisons with previous big budget superhero flicks like Krrish.

The new trailer highlights the comic element in the film, in addition to its action sequences. Tiger Shroff is shown as a young superhero who is yet to gain full control on his powers. This leads to some comic accidents like messing up his 'superhero landing' by destroying a police car, running from dogs (when he can fly), and even using his newly acquired powers to dust cobwebs.

Amrita Singh is the stand out with her domineering presence as the Punjabi mother who treats her son with some tough love. Considering her past performance in 2 States, this might be one to watch out for.

The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez as Tiger's love interest, and the trailer features some song sequences that might offer both, Tiger and Jacqueline, enough of a chance to shine through as dancers.

Kay Kay Menon is cast in the role of the stereotypical evil scientist who creates the 'demon' to end the new superhero. The supervillain, played by Nathan Jones, has the job of looking mean while he bashes the new superhero to pulp, only for Tiger to rise again.

Going by the trailer, A Flying Jatt appears to be another superhero tale with a Punjabi twist in it. Tiger has enough of action sequences to highlight his flexibility, and martial arts, whereas the special effects look promising.

The only drawback is that the story looks as generic as any superhero origin tale, offering nothing new to the audience. Hopefully, there is something more that the trailer has not revealed yet.

A Flying Jatt releases on 25 August this year.
