Balaji Motion Pictures' Great Grand Masti is already in trouble for mischief. The makers of the risque comedy have been sent a legal notice by Shiney Ahuja. The actor has taken offence to a maid's character in the film being named Shiney.

Reports suggest that the naming of the character implies to the infamous rape case involving actor Shiney Ahuja. The actor was sentenced to a seven year jail term in the rape case filed by his maid in 2009, and has currently filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court. This means that the case is subjudice, and any attempt to influence the character of the accused can be taken as contempt of court.

The legal notice has named Jeetendra, Ekta Kapoor, and director Indra Kumar, and was sent before the film's release in theatres. This might be another long battle in the courts.

Great Grand Masti hit the theatres today.
