Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra are receiving accolades for their chemistry in the song ‘Jaaneman Aah’ from the upcoming flick Dishoom, which went live today. So, it was obvious that they would be asked a question on doing a film together, at the launch of the song at a suburban multiplex in Mumbai.
“I would love to work with her and I am guessing she would like to work with me too," said Dhawan. "We have actually done nine advertisements together for a chat service campaign. But we never got cast in a film. Now we have done a song together; a very special one. Hopefully some director will pick us up and we would be working together.”
Chopra agreed: “True. I would love to work with him. We are just trying to get cast together.”
Chopra also spoke about Dhawan's improvisation in the song in the form of a kiss. “I overheard Varun suggesting to someone, ‘Hum log kiss karen kya?’ I said, ‘What? Nahin! Why?’ Plus, [director] Rohit [Dhawan] was not on the set. As soon as he left, VD [Varun Dhawan] got this brainwave. Even our choreographer was shocked as he wasn’t aware about it. I had to make it very clear that it was his idea, not mine (laughs).”
Parineeti Chopra also revealed that her part in the film is not limited to the song and she also plays a cameo.
Dishoom, which also stars John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez, is all set to release on 29 July 2016.
