Budhia anthem portrays 65 km run of the 5-year-old

The film is a biopic on Budhia Singh

Soumendra Padhi’s Budhia Singh – Born To Run is a biopic on Budhia Singh, who ran 65 kilometres when he was just five years old. The title role is played by child artist Mayur Patole while Manoj Bajpayee plays his coach Biranchi Das.

Born To Run Anthem, a song from the film, is a summary of the mammoth journey of the kid from Bhubaneshwar to Puri. The lyrics, by Prashant Ingole, and Siddharth Mahadevan and Arhaan Khan’s vocals not only do justice to the kid’s achievement but also succeed in providing a feeling of inspiration.

The song is well shot and edited with visuals matching the lyrics. The only area of concern is that the makers might have revealed the important sequences of the film in this song promo.

Budhia Singh is listed in The Limca Book of Records in 2006 as the world’s youngest marathon runner for his feat. In total, he has run as many as 48 marathons.

Produced under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Budhia Singh – Born To Run is directed by Soumendra Padhi, who makes his debut as a writer and director. The film received the National award for Best Children’s Film earlier this year.
