Imtiaz Ali and Shah Rukh Khan come together for a 'happy' film

Imtiaz Ali and Shah Rukh Khan might not appear to be the closest friends, but apparently the actor is one of the few people Imtiaz turns to for creative advice. The friendship has finally paid off, as reports suggest that the King Khan will be appearing in a full-fledged role in Imtiaz Ali's next film. In an interview to an online website, the actor was quoted as saying, "I know Imtiaz since several years, from the time he directed his first film. Strangely, whenever he makes a film, he comes to my house to narrate the story though I am not part of its cast. He has always discussed his films with me as a friend and as a creative person."

The report suggests that the only condition on which Shah Rukh Khan accepted the director's offer was that it be a 'happy' film. The actor says, "I wanted him to do a happy film, since I am in that zone right now. And he had a film for me with a nice language of love. It keeps my age in mind, and is not a young, upbeat love story." 

Shah Rukh Khan has a very exciting year coming up, with Rahul Dholakia's Raees scheduled for release early next year. The actor will also play a cameo in Gauri Shinde's next venture, Dear Zindagi, with Alia Bhatt. The actor has also confirmed a role in Aanand L Rai's film scheduled for next year. 

Imtiaz will really have to up his game in order to keep up with the high energy Khan.
