The actor will reportedly be released from jail on February 27

According to news reports, actor Sanjay Dutt will be a free man on February 27 after the Maharashtra government remitted his sentence in the Mumbai serial blasts case. Dutt has been serving a five-year jail sentence for his involvement in the 1993 blasts, after his sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court in March 2013.
Apparently, Dutt will be released on completing his 42 month sentence, provided everything goes smoothly. Dutt was acquitted of other charges under TADA, but was found guilty of possessing illegal arms.
