Veteran actor gallantly steps in for Irrfan Khan, reunites with Juhi Chawla and Shabana Azmi

Rishi Kapoor is back on the big screen with three releases in the first quarter of 2016. He reportedly plays a much older character in Divya Khosla's Sanam Re as well as in Shakun Batra's Kapoor & Sons. His first release, however, is Jayant Gilatkar's Chalk 'N' Duster, which casts the star as a character his own age.
Interestingly, Kapoor plays himself as an actor hosting a quiz show. Apparently, he agreed to the cameo after his old friend Shabana Azmi requested him to. According to news reports, Kapoor enjoyed his role so much that he may actually consider an offer to play a game show host on television.
