With the release of his keenly-awaited Dangal nearing, Aamir Khan is in the news these days, more so after the promos of the film received a positive response. Now the actor has made headlines for something else besides the biopic of Mahavir Singh Phogat. No, there’s no a controversy involving the actor again.
News has just come in that Khan will be making a special appearance in the directorial debut of Advait Chandan’s Secret Superstar. The Lagaan actor is also the producer of the film. Interestingly, Chandan was the personal manager of Khan some years ago.
When Chandan narrated the script of Secret Superstar to Khan, the latter was so impressed that he instantly decided to go ahead and produce the film under his banner.
There were unconfirmed reports a few months ago about the superstar playing a part in the film. But now it is official after veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the news on Twitter. “#SecretSuperstar will star Aamir Khan in a special cameo. Film to release on 4 August 2017,” read one of his tweets. Khan has donned a look in which he hasn’t been seen before.
There are reports that Secret Superstar is the story of a child and his mother where Khan is playing the role of a mentor. The rest of the cast ha been kept under wraps currently.
