Shah Rukh-Salman Khan rekindle friendship at Screen Awards 2016, mock gossip mongers

The superstar duo displayed their renewed friendship at the event with much gusto.

There was a time when Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan refused to come face-to-face. It was in 2008 when both superstars had an ugly fight during Katrina Kaif’s birthday celebration. A strong bond was reduced to ashes. Well, almost.

Since the last few years, the war between Shah Rukh and Salman not only cooled down, but it also gave way to reignition of their old friendship. It all started off when both actors hugged each other at politician Baba Siddique’s Iftaar party in 2013. From here on, their comfort level just kept on growing.

And it has now reached as high as both the stars regularly hang out together and appear in award shows. Just last night, they once again shared the stage at the Star Screen Awards and became the highlight of the event.

This time, however, they went several steps ahead by mocking all those who allegedly added fuel to their war behind their backs. The superstar duo didn’t stop at this. They also made fun of their past rivalry by announcing, “I and Salman are brothers.”

The two actors have starred together in films Karan Arjun (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam (2002). Shah Rukh also played a guest appearance in Salman’s Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000).

Now that their good old friendship is renewed, their fans would be hoping to see them sharing screen again soon.
