Ever since Farhan Akhtar announced his separation from his wife of 16 years, Adhuna Bhabani, rumours of his new girlfriends have been doing the rounds. After Aditi Rao Hydari during the filming of Wazir, it is Shraddha Kapoor who has now entered the eye of the storm.

Recent reports from SpotBoye suggest that the actress had moved into Akhtar's apartment last week. However, the news did not go down well with father Shakti Kapoor, who arrived, aunt Padmini Kolhapure in tow, to get his daughter back. The report suggests that the senior Kapoor's dominance prevailed and the OK Jaanu had to return home.

Akhtar has maintained a stoic silence over all the rumours surrounding his life so far. A father of two, the actor-director might need to work at quelling the rumours or setting them straight.

As for Shakti, the veteran has vehemently denied any such incident. A report quoted the actor saying, "That’s total crap! It’s all shit. Somebody else also called me to inform me about this, but don’t believe it. It’s total, total, TOTAL crap!" Shakti further refused to comment on the issue saying, "See I have been in this industry for over 35 years now. I know what happens so we don’t react to such things. It’s okay."

Both Shraddha and Akhtar have films lined up for the next year. Shraddha is set appear alongside Aditya Roy Kapur in Shaad Ali's OK Jaanu which releases in January. Akhtar is set to appear as Dawood Ibrahim, in the Arjun Rampal-starrer Daddy. Incidentally, Shraddha is also working on Apoorva Lakhia's biopic, Haseena, where she plays Haseena Parkar, Dawood Ibrahim's real life sister.

For now, the controversy seems to have been quelled. Only time will tell if the smoke will flare up further.
