The duo is looking to spend some quality time away from the prying eyes of the media, to find some peace after a hectic year.

The 'Badshah' might not drop in on Ranveer and Deepika Padukone's holiday, but he is around the same region. As usual, Shah Rukh is out with his family on a much-needed holiday in Dubai. The actor recently put up pictures of his children at the airport, playing the doting daddy. However, the new year has loads in promise for Khan with a lot riding on the success of his next film, Raees. 

Salman Khan 

The actor, who just turned 51, revealed that he might ring in the new year at work. Having finished a birthday bash at his Panvel farmhouse, the actor might just decide to retire to the place on the last day of the year and hang out with friends and family. The usual stuff for this wild child. 

Aamir Khan 

The actor will be celebrating the success of his Dangal with his wife, Kiran Rao, and kids in the cool climes of Panchgani. It will be a triple celebration for Aamir since the success of Dangal, and the New Year celebrations follow close to his wedding anniversary on 28 December. 

Ajay Devgn

Devgn, Kajol, along with their kids, Nysa and Yug, have already left for their annual holiday to London. The family left before Christmas to what is known as their favourite vacation destination, and will only return in the new year. 

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna

The witty Khanna and Kumar will bring in the new year in Cape Town, South Africa. With Khanna turning into a bestselling author and the success of Airlift (2016) has been quite the year for the Khiladi Kumar. The promise of Jolly LLB 2 looming on the horizon, he will be content to relax on this long vacation in South Africa. 

Anushka Sharma - Virat Kohli 

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have been enjoying a watershed year in many ways. While Sharma's performances in two of the biggest films of the year, Sultan and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had fans and critics going ga ga, Kohli has been going from strength to strength as the captain and trailblazer of the Indian cricket team. The couple will be heading to the Himalayas in search of some peace and quiet before they return to the grind in the new year.

While the rest of the industry is out partying, Kapoor is planning a more sedate New Year's Eve at home. The actor is planning to spend the party night at his new pad in Bandra. With all the controversy and microscopic analysis of his relationship with Katrina Kaif, the actor probably deserves some downtime by himself.

While her ex will be chilling at home, Kaif is heading back to England to ring in the new year with her family and friends. Pictures of the actress enjoying Christmas back home are already hitting Twitter, and it looks like the Jagga Jasoos actress is having fun.

The rumoured lovebirds are keeping their vacation plans secret. After throwing a star-studded party for Malhotra's housewarming in Juhu, the two have decided to take off for New Year's Eve. To where is still anybody's guess. 

Priyanka Chopra 

Having travelled across the world in the last year, Chopra is taking it easy on her vacation. She plans to head to her home in Goa and spend the last days of the year in some peace and quiet. "My plan for New Year's Eve is to hang out with my friends and family. I'm going to be in Goa, India because I have a home there. So I intend to be awake into the wee hours of the night," she said.

Saif Ali Khan 

The actor is planning to spend the New Year's Eve in Mumbai by the side of his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan and son Taimur.
