The suspense around Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's romantic drama with Imtiaz Ali continues. After being rumoured that the film was titled The Ring, which eventually turned out to be a joke by the stars, rumour now has it that Ali has titled the film Rahnuma.

Website Pop Diaries has reported that the makers have zeroed in on Rahnuma as the title and the film is slated to be released on 11 August 2017. Surprisingly, Salman Khan had earlier tweeted the release date of the film.

Meanwhile, another website (Pinkvilla) spoke about the characters of Shah Rukh and Sharma. Buzz has it that Shah Rukh will play Harinder Singh Nehra, a Punjabi guide in Europe, while Sharma will portray the role of Gujarati tourist Sejal Shah.

Rahnuma means a person who guides, and by this logic the title seems apt. There’s no confirmation yet from Shah Rukh who is also producing the film, or director Ali. We tried contacting Ali, but got no response.

The film has been shot across different locations in Europe. The principal photography began in Prague, before shooting in Amsterdam, Lisbon and Budapest. This is the first time that Ali has cast Shah Rukh and Sharma in his film.
