Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have become parents after the actress delivered a baby boy today at 7.30 am at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. Both the mother and the child are in good condition, as per the hospital. The couple has named the child, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi.
In an official statement, Kareena and Saif said, "We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December 2016. We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all...With love, Saif & Kareena."
Of late, Kareena had received a lot of praises for carrying off her pregnant avatar with grace. Her pictures, which were taken during some events and magazine photo shoots, became a rage on the internet and social media.
At a recent event, the actress had said she is planning to return to films soon after delivering a child. She had said, “I will be back on my toes within a month of my delivery.” She is expected to commence shoot for Veere Di Wedding in some time. The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and it will also star Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar.
Some time back, an excited Saif, while speaking on Kareena’s pregnancy, had said, “I think it’s also a great expression of my relationship with Kareena. To have a child now completes us. There is something about a baby that is kind of half of mine and half of hers, so, it’s a nice feeling.”
