Guests Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and Radhika Apte on journalist Rajeev Masand’s roundtable 2016 shared hilarious experiences of their first kiss on screen.

The most memorable was Vidya's, with Sanjay Dutt getting cold feet before kissing her in Parineeta (2005). "He [Dutt] kept shutting his eyes. I told Dada [director Pradeep Sarkar] that of all the people if a macho man like Sanjay Dutt can feel like this, then a newcomer like me should feel all the more uncomfortable. This was a scene where Saif Ali Khan is imagining that Sanjay Dutt and I are kissing. Eventually, Dutt kissed me on the forehead," Vidya recalled.

Kapoor recalled that while filming Aisha (2010), "I had given up non-vegetarian food. I had told Abhay Deol that if he wanted to do the [kissing] scene, he should refrain from non-veg food for two days. However, he didn't do that. My director shouted why I was going back, and I said that I could smell it [non-veg food]."

Bhatt's first kissing scene was so bad that it was chopped from Student Of The Year (2012). "This was on a bench. Sidharth Malhotra and I are seated in an awkward position. It was so hot and my back was exposed. It was so bad that it didn’t make it to the film," the actress said.

Sharma recalled how her NH10 (2015) co-star Neil Bhoopalam was very uncomfortable. For Radhika Apte, her director had asked her to make her co-star comfortable.

Apte said, "This was a Bengali film. Out of nowhere my boyfriend comes and he is supposed to grab and kiss me. This guy though just couldn't do it. The director then told me to go inside his room and make him 'feel comfortable'."
