For all the pre-release hype, Yash Raj Film’s Befikre, starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor, hasn’t lived up to th expectations. After decent opening weekend, where it bagged close to Rs35 crore, the film has simply failed to get going in the week days.

Aditya Chopra's directorial garnered around Rs2.2 crore (reports BoxofficeIndia.com) on the seventh day, taking its week long total to around Rs48.50 cr. Having released across 2100 screens in India, and with a budget of Rs70crore, the numbers are disappointing.

Befikre had opened with Rs10.36 crore and saw a slight increase on Saturday and Sunday, bagging Rs11.60 and Rs12.47 crore, respectively.

Rohan Malhotra, Associate VP, and head of distribution at YRF had earlier tweeted the six-day figure to Rs46.24 cr.

As seen from the above, the collections dropped more than 50% on Monday (Rs5.20), in comparison to the collection on Sunday. After an average start, the weekday collections have been on the wane.

The film has been panned by audiences and critics alike. The negative reviews have clearly dealt a blow to Befikre. Singh, who was riding high on Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani, may be disappointed with the result.
