Dangal dialogue promo: It's 5am or done for Aamir Khan

The latest promo from Dangal has young Geeta and Babita looking for excuses to skip wrestling practice while a dictatorial Mahavir Singh Phogat sticks to his 5am slot.

Aamir Khan is often praised as a perfectionist in real life, and by the looks of it, he might have found a character abiding by the same rules in Dangal. In the latest dialogue promo for the film, Khan comes across as the 'haanikaarak' bapu playing Hitler subjecting his young daughters to a torturous regime.

The promo is a hilarious change from the intense scenes that have made the trailer so popular. As Geeta (Fatima Sana Shaikh) and Babita Kumari (Sanya Malhotra) narrate the difficulties they face because of wrestling practice, Aamir Khan's Mahavir Singh Phogat looks on stony-faced. The fear of expressing their disinterest in the sport makes the girls come up with some hilarious excuses. Not that any of them work with the 'haanikaarak bapu'. He still forces them to get up at 5 am for a workout.

Aamir Khan, and the girls Shaikh and Malhotra, have already received praise for their work and dedication to bring the Phogat family to life on screen. While the rest of the film will focus on the intense preparation that goes into making a champion, this little promo offers the struggle of children trying to identify with the ambitious aims of their father.

Dangal is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is set for a theatrical release on 23 December.
