Twinkle Khanna is set to return to films. Mrs Funnybones, as she is popularly known, will launch her own production house, Mrs Funnybones Movies. The title is inspired by her popular blog Mrs Funnybones. Khanna will produce R Balki’s next that stars Khanna's husband Akshay Kumar. Amitabh Bachchan will have a special appearance in the film.
According to the buzz, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte will be seen alongside Kumar in the project. Kapoor will commence shooting for this project once she wraps the shoot for Shashanka Ghosh’s Veere Di Wedding. As often, all Balki projects have Illayaraja as the music composer. The music director is likely to be on board this project too.

Khanna isn’t averse to entrepreneurship. In 2002, she had opened an interior design store The White Window after giving up her acting career in Hindi cinema. She’s also among the co-founders of Kumar and Ashwini Yardi’s Grazing Goats Productions which has produced films like Oh My God (2012) and Singh is Bling (2015).
