Kangana Ranaut is not known to mince words. The three-time National Award winner and Filmfare Best Actress for Queen (2014) recently said she is not a fan of awards or functions. Ranaut did not have a single release this year, and she has enough reason to stay away from award functions.

The Queen actress recently walked the ramp for a Manish Malhotra show where she was asked to choose her pick for the best actress award this year. The favourites this year are Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor.

"I don't go to award functions and I don’t believe in awards. I am not an awarding jury. It's not my job to decide who should win. I don’t believe in awards, then why should I bother? I don’t care who wins," Ranaut shot back.

Her reaction was hardly surprising. However, Ranaut heaped praise on Alia Bhatt. "It is very flattering, what she said about me, because Alia is one of those people who I reach out to. I share a beautiful equation with her. It is very sweet of her to say that she wants to know about my whereabouts," said Ranaut.

Recently, Bhatt was on Koffee With Karan, and during the rapid fire round she had praised Ranaut for her sense of fashion, especially when she was spotted at the airport. Johar had asked Bhatt which actress she would stalk if she was invisible. Bhatt had replied, "I think Kangana, because she has a lot of lovely airport looks, but I really want to know where she is going. So many airport looks, where is this plane landing?"

In 2015, Bhatt had showered praises on Ranaut after watching her film Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
