On Rajinikanth's 66th birthday today, his fans must be at least a little surprised to hear that the superstar will not be part of Aamir Khan's Dangal which is set to be released in less than two weeks.
According to IANS, Khan had approached Rajinikanth to dub for his character Mahavir Singh Phogat in the Tamil version of Dangal.
“Aamir screened the film for Rajinikanth Sir and also requested him to dub for his character for the Tamil version of Dangal. Although moved by the film, Rajini Sir politely turned down the offer," a source close to the superstar told IANS.
Khan would have found no better choice than Rajinikanth to dub for Phogat’s character. Had Rajinikanth agreed, this wouldn’t have been the first occasion for him to collaborate with Khan. In 1995, he had starred alongside Khan in Dilip Shankar’s Aatank Hi Aatank.
