Sony Pictures Entertainment unveils the first look of the upcoming remake of Shreyas Talpade’s 2014 Marathi comedy.
Mayur Lookhar
What is common between Sunny Deol, Shreyas Talpade and Bobby Deol? Well, the three forlorn actors have been out of form for a long time. Perhaps it's this hunger that brings the trio together.
Sunny and Bobby Deol’s last hit was Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) while Talpade’s last Hindi hit was Housefull 2 (2012).
Talpade and the Deol brothers will be seen in Sony Pictures Entertainment's Poster Boys, which is a remake of Talpade's own Marathi production, Poshter Boyz (2014). Talpade makes his directorial debut with Poster Boys.
The first poster of the film is out and it must be said that Sunny Deol looks to be in his usual Sardarji element, while Bobby Deol’s character has a goofy look, and Talpade’s gaudy dressing is a complete misfit for his character.
Poster Boys is likely to be released in mid-2017.
The original Marathi film had Dilip Prabhavalkar, Hrishikesh Joshi and Aniket Vishvasrao in the lead. Jagan Deshmukh (Prabhavalkar), Sadanand Kulkarni (Joshi) and Arjun (Vishvasrao) find that their images have been morphed into a still advertisement for vasectomy, which leads to a comedy of errors.
