There are just four days to go for the first big box-office clash of the year as Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro squares off against Akshay Kumar’s Rustom. In normal circumstances, you would expect the two actors to be in a highly competitive spirit. However, confrontation isn’t simply in the DNA of the two actors.
Known for their humility and gentle nature, both Roshan and Kumar have refused to be drawn into a battle, and, instead, left the competition to their respective producers. At the Mohenjo Daro launch, Hrithik Roshan had brushed aside the Mohenjo Daro vs Rustom clash and passed the buck to the producers.
Akshay Kumar, too, hasn’t spoken a word against Roshan or the Mohenjo Daro makers and instead chose to concentrate on his work. The two showed their respect for each other by bonding on Twitter. Roshan, being the younger star, chose to reach out to Kumar last evening by posting a friendly message ‘Dostikihaitohnibhanipadegi’. It didn’t take long for Kumar to retweet and reciprocate the following:
Urging Roshan to stop, Kumar posted the cheeky dialogue ,'chup kar pagley, rulayega kya (stop it, you’ll make me cry)'. Kumar reminded cinegoers of a great weekend ahead with the two films releasing. The tweet garnered over 6,000 likes as fans often lap up bonding between film stars on Twitter.
Enough of sugar, but we wonder come Thursday evening, how the two actors will react seeing the number of screens grabbed by their respective films. Mohenjo Daro is backed by giant Disney India, while Rustom has multiple producers.
