The actor just put up a Facebook post as another reminder that he is not the 'conventional' Deol.

Abhay Deol is not the conventional Deol. Unlike his uncle Dharmendra, or cousins Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, he never fit in with the commercial Hindi film crowd. His career has seen him forge a path that steps out of the boundaries of the action blockbusters that the Deol family is known for. But if you thought it is just the cinema that separates Abhay from the rest of the Deols, you'd be mistaken.
The Deols come from an unbearably handsome lineage. Dharmendra, when he made his debut in Hindi cinema, was considered among the most handsome actors in the country. So, when Abhay decided to put up the image of an old passport photograph on his Facebook page, it quite surprised his fans.
In the older photograph, Abhay looks like the perfect nerd with his large framed glasses and the center parting in his hair. By comparison, the latest picture seems quite in step with the uber cool image that Abhay Deol is known for.
The Dev D actor admitted that he was putting up the post because he 'lost a bet to a friend', and added that he was 'celebrating nerdy-ness'.
Don't worry, Abhay. Nerdy is cool these days!
