Salman Khan is the blue eyed boy of controversy. But few in the industry command the love and respect as Hindi cinema's very own 'bhaijaan' does. Speaking at the trailer launch of his brother, Sohail Khan's Freaky Ali, the actor was the centre of attention for the assembled media on Sunday.

With the ocassion of Friendship Day looming large, Salman opened up on his 'friends' in the industry. The actor said, "I have a lot of friends in the industry both male and female, birds, animals all. Whose name should I take? All are my friends here (in film industry).” Yet some friends are more special, as the actor said later, "But among close friends, I have Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) who I have seen since childhood...Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan." The actor also mentioned Katrina Kaif as a close friend. He remarked, "These all names you are finding boring right? Should I give names of some girls? Katrina Kaif is my friend."

This is quite a statement since the media has been abuzz with rumours of tiffs with each one of them. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman had a very public falling out in 2013. It took a couple of years before the two decided to patch up. Recently, the rumours of his tiff with Sanjay Dutt were pretty strong. This was further fuelled by the fact that the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star did not meet Dutt after his release from jail. Katrina Kaif too, struggled to cope with the post relationship pressure from Salman's camp. But by recent pictures, both of them seem to have decided to stay friends.Salman was also said to have had a cold war with Aamir recently, thanks to both of them deciding to star in films based on wrestling. But both the actor refuted the rumours.

Known for his extreme loyalty, Salman commands quite the following among his fans and the industry. This is a rare admission in an industry as fractitious as Hindi cinema. As they say, friendship with Salman is not easy, but it is forever.
