He has been battling personal issues at home and outside. Adding to his woes is the poor buzz around his forthcoming film Mohenjo Daro. To make mattters worse, both Hrithik Roshan and the filmmakers courted controversy after it was reported that he wasn’t comfortable promoting the film on the comedy reality show Comedy Nights Bachao, which is based on the roast format.
Rumour had it that the TV channel and the show's producers had approached the Mohenjo Daro team to appear on their show. But Hrithik Roshan allegedly wasn’t comfortable with the idea and asked for the promotional activity to be dropped . Reportedly, his co-actor, debutante Pooja Hegde, too, wasn’t comfortable with the idea.
However, rubbishing these theories, Hrithik Roshan said the show had never figured on their promotional list. "That’s a rumour. Comedy Nights Bachao was never on the list. I was not approached for it. There was a need to do two shows and they were both decided by the PR team, and not by Pooja or me. We were just taken [to the shows’ sets]," the star told IANS while promoting his film in Delhi.
Roshan has been keeping a low profile following his divorce with Sussanne Khan and the subsequent legal tussle with Kangana Ranaut. Back in July, Roshan had sidestepped all queries pertainnig to his legal tiff with Ranaut, the box-office clash with Akshay Kumar's Rustom, and the impending clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees in 2017.
Mohenjo Daro releases on 12 August, the same day as Rustom.
