The world was privy to Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma ending the bad blood between them, but we never knew this thaw in the relationship would lead to an unlikely bromance.
Taking both Karan Johar and netizens by surprise, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was all praise for the teaser of his former bete noire's Diwali release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
@karanjohar I love the long hold on Ranbir's close up ..it indicates with what passion u made this film..Suuuuperrb https://t.co/1B8OcgzUFy

RGV, as he is fondly known, praised Karan Johar after being impressed by the trailer. And Johar reciprocated the gesture by saying that RGV's comment has made his day.
The bromance didn't end there as Varma posted the following tweet:
@karanjohar And u made many many many people's days with this God awesome feel in ur teaser ðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ#ADHMTeaser https://t.co/Hzi33kwSGQ

This lovely exchange from the two filmmakers caught the attention of actor Riteish Deshmukh who couldn't help but tweet this funny one-liner.

Varma and Johar have shared a long unpleasant history between them. It began when Varma started taking pot shots at Johar, first in his films and then on social media. They have had their ugly battles, but age has perhaps mellowed both filmmakers down. One must also note that unlike Johar, Varma has been struggling with his films, with his last commercial success being Sarkar (2005).
