Kangana Ranaut reveals Bhansali offered her film opposite Shah Rukh Khan

Kangana Ranaut has been climbing the ladder of success for the past few years. She has proved that one doesn’t need to do a film with one of the three Khans to get known by the masses. But now it seems the Queen (2014) actress might have a chance to star alongside none other than Shah Rukh Khan.

Recent reports suggested that Ranaut has been offered a film opposite the star who is popularly known as King Khan, that too by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Asked about this, Ranaut said, “Sanjay Sir just spoke to me about the film, saying that he wants to make it with me and Shah Rukh Sir. But it’s at a very premature stage. It’s not that I am working with Shah Rukh Sir tomorrow… So, yeah, like I said, it’s at a very premature stage.” 

The actress was speaking at the Lakme Fashion Week where she was the showstopper for designer Tarun Tahiliani. Later, during the discussion, Ranaut also spoke about her upcoming Ketan Mehta flick, Jhansi Ki Rani.

“I think Jhansi Ki Rani is a very relevant film for many reasons and one of those reasons is the reminder of the amount of sacrifice and work that has been put in by people. It’s also a reminder to value things much more than we actually do and to instil that passion and pride for our country which people even in testing times had,” she said.
