With Ventilator, Priyanka Chopra becomes first actress to sing in 5 languages


The Mary Kom actress is all set to sing for her Marathi film, Ventilator.

Priyanka Chopra is going through the best phase of her career right now. Apart from Hindi cinema, she has also made a mark in the international TV series, Quantico and will soon be seen in the upcoming Hollywood flick, Baywatch. 

Her singing career took off with English tracks, ‘Exotic’ and ‘In My City.’ She also crooned the song ‘Charo’ for her Hindi flick, Mary Kom.

But not many would be aware that she has also sung in Punjabi and Tamil. She got behind the microphone to sing Punjabi lyrics for the track ‘Meltdown’ with DJ N.A.S.A. In Thamizan, the very first film of her career, she sang the track, ‘Ullathai Killathe’ in Tamil, about which not many people are aware.

And now, she is all set to sing for the first time in Marathi too. 'Produced under her banner Purple Pebble Pictures, Ventilator is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar of Ferrari Ki Sawari fame. There are also reports that she will be making an appearance in the film. Further details about the song aren’t revealed yet. 

But it is certain that the 'Desi Girl' has set an unusual record for an actress to sing in five languages.
