Dharma Productions' next offering, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, is all set to release its first teaser trailer on 30 August. The film will mark Karan Johar's return to direction, after his last hit Student of The Year in 2012. Looking back at Johar's unbeaten run at the box office, the sixth film of his career has quite the buzz going for it.
The teaser is likely to feature its lead stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan. The news was confirmed by the director himself on his Twitter account.
The filmmaker has just ended his Dream Team tour in the United States of America, where he was present alongwith Student of the Year stars, Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, as well as Katrina Kaif, Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur. He is expected to be back in the country this week to begin promotions for the teaser.
The story of the film remains under wraps, although the rumours of the film being a remake of Yash Chopra's Doosra Aadmi (1977) were rife. Johar had slammed the stories saying it would be too dated to make in these times. The only fact the director has conceded so far is that his film will be 'a progressive one, perhaps too progressive for its time.'
