Ever since Priyanka Chopra joined the cast of the movie version of Baywatch, the actress has been in the news for all the right reasons. Her presence, charm and inimitable fashion sense have acquired for her a growing fan following in the United States of America.
Apparently, the writers of Baywatch, the movie, are amongst those legions of fans. While interacting with fans on a Twitter Q&A, the writers let out some secrets behind the casting of one of India's most recognisable faces, as a villain to Dwayne Johnson.
Damian Shannon and Mark Swift spoke in detail about the writing process, and their creation of characters. They mentioned that Chopra's character in Baywatch, Victoria Leeds, might be the 'favourite character' they have written.
According to Shannon and Swift, 'Victoria Leeds is Smart Sexy Driven. Always one step ahead with great taste in shoes. A formidable villain & maybe my fav character.'

The writers added that they were impressed with Chopra's professionalism and attitude. They tweeted that audiences will love her in the film.

Of course, this was not enough to satisfy Chopra's fans on the platform. One question that came up was how long the Mary Kom actress would be seen on screen in the film.
@crazychick9000 @PriyankaDaily @mo0o0dy Good Q. I don't have a number. But she's the villain of the movie. Big role.

This seems a fairly certain confirmation that Chopra will be visible in a major portion of the film, unlike her blink-and-miss voice role in the recent Jungle Book adaptation.
Baywatch will see Chopra alongside Johnson, Zac Efron and Kelly Rohrbach. The film is set to release in the US on 19 May 2017.
