Akshay Kumar is on a golden run. With Rustom becoming Kumar's third film to join the Rs100 crore club this year, the actor has become the most successful star of the year. The actor also has Crack, with Rustom producer Pandey, in the pipeline for next year. Recent reports suggest that Pandey has also signed on Kumar for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, to be released in the middle of 2017. The film is set to go on floors in November this year.
It would be Kumar's fourth film with Pandey after Special 26, Baby and Rustom. The film is reported to be a light-hearted comedy, based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swacch Bharat campaign. Bhumi Pednekar has been chosen as the leading lady opposite the Khiladi Kumar.
With an interesting title, cast and Pandey-Kumar partnership going for it, few would bet against the film.
Kumar is currently shooting for Jolly LLB 2 until September. He is expected to start shooting for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha in November, before moving on to Crack.
