Abhishek Bachchan recounts his Coolie memories on dad Amitabh's '2nd birthday'

The actor had fun reminiscing his childhood with a famous dad, as Twitter celebrated his father's famous '2nd birthday' - his return from the hospital after a grave injury on the sets of the film.

Amitabh Bachchan has always talked about his recovery from that near fatal accident on the sets of Prakash Mehra's Coolie as his re-birth. It is no surprise then that he chooses to celebrate 2nd August as his '2nd birthday'. As wishes poured in on Twitter and other social media today, his son Abhishek Bachchan too joined the fan club.

The Housefull 3 actor tweeted a sweet personal message for his father, reminiscing about how he idolised him and how he would try to enact a scene out of Coolie.

I can't even remember how many times I would drape a bedsheet in the same way and re-enact this sequence from "Coolie". Would make my friends play the role of Zafar and shoot me with a plastic play gun and I would play the part of Iqbal. Yup, I learnt very early in my life that God made only one Amitabh Bachchan. Happy second birthday Pa. You are my inspiration. #BigB #2882

If that was sweet, a sweeter surprise awaited. One fan posted an old video of Abhishek joining Amitabh to attend the premiere of another film, Indrajeet. Indrajeet released in 1991, and celebrates 25 years today. To say the least, Abhishek was thrilled at the memory of himself as a gawky teenager. The video features a lanky Abhishek walking close behind Big B as he arrives in grand style at the premiere.

Well, we can't blame Abhishek. It is impossible to not be star struck with Amitabh Bachchan. Even when you are his son.
