Tiger Shroff will ‘mostly’ star in Student Of The Year 2

Before Student Of The Year (2012), Karan Johar had only directed Shah Rukh Khan. But for this film, he signed not one but three debutants – Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt – and emerged victorious. 

With the season of sequels on in full swing in Hindi cinema since last few years, K Jo too will be coming up with the next film in the Student Of The Year series. The cast of the film was kept under wraps ever since it was announced, but Tiger Shroff seems to have spilled the beans. 

The Baaghi actor, during a recent interaction with a leading daily, revealed that he will mostly will be joining in as the cast in SOTY 2. “Yes, we are in talks. Karan sir and I met a couple of times to discuss the film. He has given me a brief idea about the film. I will take the narration and sign the film mostly,” he said. 

If Tiger does give a go ahead to this film, it will be the first time that he would be moving away from the action genre. Apart from his two released films Heropanti and Baaghi, the actor would be seen doing action sequences in A Flying Jatt and his next film with Sabbir Khan. 

The rest of the cast for SOTY 2 is currently under wraps. There were recent speculations about Shahid Kapoor’s half brother Ishan Khattar and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara teaming up for the film. But there hasn’t been any official announcement as of yet.
