Jacqueline Fernandez denies following in Katrina Kaif’s footsteps

Jacqueline Fernandez is flying high in 2016. Her releases for the earlier part of the year, Housefull 3 and Dishoom, have both done well, and she looks to be having a ball with her recent stint as a judge on the dance reality show, Jhalak Dhikla Jaa, alongside filmmaker Karan Johar and choreographer Ganesh Hegde.

She now awaits the release of the Remo D’Souza’s A Flying Jatt, a superhero film co-starring Tiger Shroff. Her recent successes have invited comparisons with another actress’s rise to the top. Recent reports have suggested that Jacqueline has been following in the footsteps of Katrina Kaif, after landing big name co-stars and projects. Apparently, she has also been keeping a close eye on the kind of offers Katrina has been receiving.

At a recent press conference, Fernandez replied about these recent comparisons, “I haven’t read such reports. It’s common to fuel such talk amongst two actors, after all we’re both from the same industry and we’re both vying for the same role. However, there is no truth to such takes and that’s the reason why I don’t react to these stories.”
