Raaz Reboot Trailer: Yet another horror saga by Emraan Hashmi-Vikram Bhatt duo

Over the last decade and a half, Vikram Bhatt has become Hindi cinema’s horror specialist. If one tries listing out the films he has made in this genre, both as director and producer, it will be a long database. Now he is back in his comfort zone with Raaz Reboot, whose trailer is just out. 

The film is the fourth in the Raaz franchise starring Gaurav Arora (of Love Games fame), Emraan Hashmi and debutant Kriti Kharbanda. It is the story of a married couple, Rehan (Arora) and Shaina (Kharbanda), who move to Romania. Shaina starts experiencing the presence of a ghost in their house, but Rehan doesn’t believe her. This is when Hashmi’s character enters her life. He not only believes her but also offers a solution since he possesses some mysterious powers. Interestingly, he has had a dark past with Shaina. 

What stands out in the trailer is the beautiful, snowy location of Romania. Apart from this, it looks like just another horror flick by Bhatt. Although there are moments of chills and thrills, the effect produced by them isn’t much. 

Produced by Vishesh Films and T-Series, Raaz Reboot will release on 16 September 2016.
