Kangana Ranaut is putting her 'Queen' title to good use. The actress is the latest among the slew of actors to be recruited by the government to participate in the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan'.
In the latest public service campaign, the actress joins Amitabh Bachchan to explain that 'cleanliness is next to godliness', by playing a goddess herself. The campaign is accompanied with the tagline #DontLetHerGo, a sign to prevent the goddess of wealth from leaving the country.
The advertisement, directed by Pradeep Sarkar, begins with a montage of people who worship the goddess of wealth, Lakshmi. Sadly, though, it does not stop them from littering their surroundings. Hence, the goddess of wealth exits the picture frames and walks out of the dirty surroundings.
Ranaut dons the mantle of the goddess of wealth while Ravi Kishan, Esha Koppikar, and Omkar Kapoor play the commoners in the campaign. Amitabh Bachchan, who is also the narrator, makes an appearance with his plea, asking people to maintain cleanlinesss outside their homes and in their surroundings.
Creative, powerful, and quirky, the video has made quite an impact on social media. Viewers have already taken to the message in the advertisement with some glee. Here's hoping this leads to a greater impact.
