Rajinikanth wishes Akshay Kumar luck for Rustom release

Akshay Kumar’s holiday weekend release, Rustom, is not only anticipated amongst the moviegoing public, but also within the film fraternity. In the past week, actors like Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, along with filmmaker Karan Johar, have also wished the Airlift star for his upcoming film on social networks via videos.

The latest person to give regards to Kumar was none other than his 2.0 co-star, Rajinikanth, who took to Twitter and simply wished him ‘all success’ for Rustom.

Akshay, obviously moved by the superstar’s tweet, replied that he would have wanted him to watch the film.

Rustom, also starring Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta, opens tomorrow and goes up against Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Mohenjo Daro, which has Hrithik Roshan and newcomer Pooja Hegde in the lead.
