The brand may have taken a beating, but it's back and ready for business. According to industry insiders, it has found re-acceptance even in Bollywood, if endorsement deals are anything to go by.
While Nestle is reportedly negotiating with several A-listers for endorsements, news reports say Deepti Naval has taken the initiative. Apparently, she shot an ad for Maggi in Mumbai a week ago, which reportedly shows her as a responsible citizen who always believed the product to be safe.
There have been filmmakers who defended the product in the past too. Balki, for instance, questioned the attack on the product after 40 years of being on the product, and wondered if the sudden campaign to discredit the multinational was highly motivated. He also pointed out that it was unfair to blame those who endorsed the product, because only a scientist could analyze the ingredients in a product they endorse.
