It could have made a lot of people happy: the idea of Ranbir Kapoor stepping into the shoes of one of Bollywood's most legendary performers. Unfortunately, Kapoor says the planned biopic on Kishore Kumar, directed by Anurag Basu, may not take off at all.
The biopic was reportedly planned after the success of Barfi!, when Basu and Kapoor decided to collaborate. It was soon put on the backburner though, after the announcement of Jagga Jasoos. Kapoor finally admitted, a couple of days ago, that the film has been shelved on account of casting difficulties and the star's family being unconvinced with the script.
